100th post

another milestone. this is the 100th blog post. and there is so much to say.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN to those in the states celebrating. actually, it is only the 30th for you there, but it is friday the 31st here in new zealand. sadly for mike, halloween is not an official celebratory day here. however, i am sure we will find a pub or bar or something that will be doing something to mark the occasion.

we returned from taupo yesterday. we had a lovely anniversary holiday. it was nice to go back to the place where we were engaged, and realize that our dreams of coming here were already true. we are doing well, trying to adjust to life here. mike is in the the midst of his second job interview thus far. today, i am meeting with some people at the wellington hospital pharmacy, to see what pharmacy is like in this country. i am sure it is different than it is in the states. there is so much to learn. i am trying to take note of everything, although there is just so much to take in.

i am trying to learn my way around. i have been relying on a real map book and google maps for help on visualizing the city and the neighborhoods around the central business district. today we are trying to figure out the bus system. apparently, the city is very well connected by public transportation, so i am trying to be able to get where i need to go. the city is not that big, but it is not like san francisco's grid system. there are curvy streets, and there are times that i get turned around. there are streets here called "quays" which i found our are pronounced "keys".

Welcome in the real world where you have public transportation and streets that are actually build with a historicl background different to the chess system in the USA ;-).
I wish you both a perfect start in your new life, a lot of fun, love and happyness!
Don't become familar to fast, because we need to meet next year in Thailand or somewhere on the half way from europe to New Zealand.
Many Hugs & love!
