happy thanksgiving. it is already thursday for us. we had our first thanksgiving day celebration yesterday. no one really celebrates thanksgiving here, so we had our feast a day early since we didn't think anybody would mind. it was a success. we treated our flatmates to a classic american turkey day feast. we made everything from scratch. we had a 5kg turkey (a very expensive bird), mashed potatoes, mashed kumara (sweet potatoes), green beans with bacon and sliced almonds, stuffing, rolls and an apple tart. it was delicious. i think alec and elaine were stuffed and impressed with the result!
by this time next week, i will be done with my foreign competency exam. thank goodness. i am so over studying for it. i am bored with it. today i studied my calculations. for the next few days, i will just continue to quiz myself on the drug stuff. i hope i pass; i do not want to study for this again.
i am looking forward to playtime after the test. finally, i can get around to doing something other than sitting in the coffee shop with my head buried in my notes!
anyhoo, i just wanted to say that i am so very thankful for all of my friends and family. thanksgiving wasn't the same without you this year. thanks for all that you do, and for all that you mean to me. happy thanksgiving to you!
