happy independence day!

time to bust out the bbq and fireworks! hope everyone has a lovely 4th of july, even if it just a regular friday for you, wherever you are in the world! mike has already reminded me that this may be our last independence day celebration here in the states for a while. i guess we are getting to that time where we are checking off things on our list to do here, and everything can be filed under, "the last time we_____."

i haven't been sleeping well lately. i am tired. it is pretty bright here in the morning, so it is hard to sleep in past 7. i don't know what to do about it really. i guess it is just taking a while to get used to our new surroundings. and i still really don't feel like this is "home". it feels like we are house-sitting, or staying at a b&b or something like that. very temporary. oh, and on top of that, my neck/back hurts. don't know if it is from the move, or the bed, which is a little firmer than i am used to.
