another last

this was our last weekend in the bay. it has been quiet, lazy, relaxing, and exactly what we have needed after the stress of packing and shipping.

yesterday we ran some errands, then spent the afternoon with dave, loretta and the kids. it was the usual hanging out, chit chatting, watching tv, and overall chillin' with them. it was nice, especially since it wasn't super hot outside. after dinner, we took annie to the park till it got too chilly for auntie katrina, who was wearing only shorts and a t-shirt.

we got home around 8pm and decided to play a game of scrabble. it was difficult b/c we were only using half of the board for a while. but i was the big winner with a score of 278. here is the evidence.





today we went to sports basement to get my long sleeve rash gaurd for fiji. i don't want to get fried, and i am anticipating spending a crapload of time on the beach. well, i don't expect to be doing anything else at all!

we also went to see burn after reading. funny movie. twisty and interesting. i enjoyed it. and i always enjoy lazy sundays in the dark movie theaters. well, i don't like it when it smells like a dirty toilet. amc mercado needs to spiff up the theaters a bit. just my opinion.

tonight we are going to kyoto palace with my aunt, uncle, and sister. our last supper together. it doesn't seem like we have been here since the end of june. all of a sudden, mike and i are going to be leaving the bay. i have been here since 1998, so it is a little strange to think we will drive away and not return for a couple/few years...or never! weird.
