my first last day

at work. i had to say the first of my three big farewells today. it was hard. i filled out an exit interview form with human resources, collected email addresses, finished of my tasks for the shift, left my badge locked in the narc room, said my goodbyes and gave my hugs, and walked for the last time out the door. it was weird. and real. and weird.

tomorrow will be the second day of goodbyes. i will miss my boss. she has been an awesome mentor and an wonderful friend. she is my only coworker that i invited to our wedding. and i will never forget her smiling tear-stained face and i turned around as the newly married wife.

our stuff was picked up today. the garage is now empty, except for some left over cardboard boxes. we are officially living out of suitcases till december. it is exciting. and weird.

i will go to a little afternoon party with some old coworkers. i finally get to meet my friend's baby boy, and see our newlywed friend. should be fun.

last night mike and i went to see hamlet 2. i figured we needed a low stress, laugh-filled evening after the monstrous week of packing the rest of our crap. pretty funny movie. who wouldn't love a song called "rock me sexy jesus" sung in what must be high school musical style (never seen those movies, but i assume here)!?!?!
