eat, movie, nap, eat, movie

that is the brief synopsis of my sunday. it was great!

after our morning run, mike and i decided to grab lunch at a little gyro place in downtown mountain view. we were going to try the new mediterranean place that just opened, but decided to stick to the tried and true gyro house. it was tasty, as always. after a quick pit stop at 7-11 for movie candy supplies, we went to the movie theater. i stupidly thought that the theater was an amc, and got discounted tickets at costco, but actually it is a century. and i knew that; i really have no idea what i was thinking. ehh, at least it was a matinee.

we went to see baby mama. it was cute, heartwarming, and kinda funny. they really did show most of the funny parts in the trailer. too bad. i think that tiny fey and amy poehler could've been much funnier. they usually crack me up. i ended up being a little let down. enjoyable, light, and okay. maybe wait for it to come out on dvd, then netflix it.

we got home from the show only to have to hop back in the buggy and go back to the theater b/c mike lost his wallet! i was thinking, oh gees, i hope he doesn't have to cancel all of his credit cards! but, after a weird encounter by the little person who tears the tickets, he did get his wallet back. it was safely stowed in the manager's office, and the lonely dollar and all his credit cards were still there.

after that, i snuck a little nap and watched an episode of escape to chimp eden. we had a double date with gp and natalie for her belated birthday dinner. we met at vive sol, chatted, ate the predictably delicious food, and then went to a bar for a drink before we went to see forgetting sarah marshall.

i thought the flick was pretty funny, although i am not a huge fan of their other movies. i am sorry, i did not like 40 year old virgin. it was so long and not funny, and maybe i didn't get the humor. but, forgetting sarah marshall was entertaining, and by the end, i really did hate sm. she is a horrible person.

anyhoo, sunday was too short, and here we are back at monday again. but, we are off to washington on friday morning. the laundry still needs to be done. yuck.
