...is so hard! i am not in love with it...yet. i am trying to stay motivated. mike started running in preparation for his movie, and i told myself that i would try to run after i got my lasik surgery done. so, i did. it has been about 1.5 weeks now. i am doing well, i think. i can run for 20 minutes on the treadmill without stopping. and i have been trying very hard to control my breathing, so i am not panting like a dog during my run. i have been keeping tabs on my runs, recording the miles, calories burned, and length of my runs. so far, i can run about 2 miles, at an 11-12 minute/mile pace.
and i am so excited to try our my new toy that mike bought me. he gave me a nike+ipod system to motivate my running habit. i just got a new armband and shoe pocket for the sensor yesterday. i wanted to test it out today, but i am too tired and lazy today. i will have to test it out tomorrow after work. also, i suppose i should try running at different times of the day to see how my body feels afterwards.
i decided that i am too attached to the gym. i love the gym, and all its cardio equipment. but i had a realization, that once we move, i won't have access to a gym right away. so, running is something i can do anytime, anywhere. no gym required!
