happy earth day!

i know we should celebrate this day everyday. and although we try, we probably aren't doing that good of a job. definitely, we need to step up our efforts to preserve this planet for ourselves and for others down the line. let's see what i can think of that we are doing to save mother earth...

-we don't usually use bottled water. we have nalgene/sports bottles that we refill. also, we have always used a reusable brita filter.

-we try to recycle what we can. however, we live in an apartment complex, and although the recycle bins are provided, i don't think we are appropriately categorizing our recyclables. i know we can do better.

-we try to drive a little less. i mean, our commutes are necessary, but pretty short in the grand scheme of things. his is 6 miles, my furthest is less than 15 miles. we try to walk places on the weekends. we have even walked downtown for dinner a few times...we feel like we are earning our meal by doing exercise to get it!

-this is more out of my pure laziness and dislike to do laundry, but we never do small loads of laundry. less water wasted, right?

anyhoo, i will try to do better.
