weekend plans

we are taking a trip to washington next weekend. we are going to visit mike's parents, and his grandfather is supposed to be on whidbey island visiting too. so, we wanted to take this opportunity to visit with him at least once more before we are most likely leaving the country. and also, i want to sneak in some time to see my best friend sunny too! and perhaps mike will be able to see his pal paco too. they both live in seattle. hopefully we can coordinate everything so we can see them before making the trek to the island. i am looking forward to a long weekend away from our disaster of a house. there are boxes and piles everywhere, since we are packing not only for our move from this place, but from this country too.

days are getting jammed packed...and the weekends are worse...in the sense that all our weekends in may seem to be fully booked already.

the weekend after whidbey, mike and gp are going to do a little road trip in the volkswagons to the north bay. they are going to visit several breweries and do some camping that weekend. i am going to be working that weekend, so i guess i will be occupied and not able to miss mikey too much.

then the weekend of the 17th, i want to make it to row's baby shower at her place in riverside. again, mike is trying to coordinate meeting up with one of his long lost friends from apple down in the los angeles area as well. and i was hoping to also make it to my parents' house to drop off some boxes of stuff that will not be making the trip to nz with us. it seems like an awful lot to squeeze into one weekend, doesn't it?

memorial day weekend my parents will be up here in the bay for my sister's graduation. she got her mba back in december, but she is not participating in all the processional and graduation festivities. so, that should be nice to have my parents and my grandma here. not sure what is planned except for the graduation and the dinner afterwards, but i am looking forward to some quality time with my folks while they are here.

yeah, we are busy bees here! we knew it would be this way for our last few months here in california.
