today marks seven months married. so far, so good. we are just so busy. life is taking over. i feel like i am on auto pilot most hours of my day. but, alas, we are moving forward, in generally the right direction.
i am addicted to the deadliest catch. yesterday, i spent the majority of my afternoon/evening watching the marathon on discovery channel. now, we are watching the last two episodes on the dvr. it is the most interesting thing on the tv right now. oh my goodness, i would be so sick. obviously, that is just not a job i would partake in. see, i realize my limitations. hahaha.
i was looking at my friend brian's facebook page. he posted pictures of his recent new zealand/australia trip, and as i was flipping through the pics of the south island, i was thinking, "i can't believe that i am going to be living in that gorgeous place in a few short months." it's true. we are really going. somehow, it still seems a little unbelievable. and we still have not received our passports back yet. so, i am still not saying anything.
today was rough getting back to work today. good thing i checked my calendar last night. for some reason, i thought i was working at noon today. nope, i was 7am icu/ccu satellite today. and i didn't sleep that well last night. i had to take 50mg of benadryl to get to sleep. when i got home today, i couldn't do anything but take a little nap. this turned into a 2 hour little nap.
we went out to an indian/pakistanian restaurant for dinner. yesterday, i was craving chicken tikka masala. so, i got it tonight. it was tasty. i think i can drink masala tea all day long. so tasty. oh, and the garlic naan was awesome. tons of garlic in the middle of the naan!
yesterday, we did have a manpower day. we walked to the movies and saw indiana jones. it was a good movie. i was entertained, and it didn't seem like a 2 hour movie. i don't like it when you can tell the movie is dragging on and on. we ate a lot of our leftovers, and walked a few miles. that was on top of my 4 mile run in the morning. also, i am eating cherries like they are going out of style!
okay, back to the deadliest catch.
