another day, another week

that's just kinda how i am feeling at the moment. things are moving forward, but i feel stagnant. maybe it is the heat; it is making me feel lazy and mushy and unmotivated.

yesterday was a nice monday. mike stayed home from work due to a bad sunday. so, i decided to leave work a little bit earlier than usual, and came home so we could spend some time together. we ended up going to the counter, b/c i was craving sweet potato fries. they were great. but the place in general was exactly what mike told me it would be, which is that it's nothing to really write home about. at the end of the day, it was just an overpriced chicken sandwich. i didn't even get anything too creative. but the sweet fries were tasty.

after the counter, we walked to the movie theaters across the street. it was super hot walking across the asphalt, and we screwed the pooch b/c missed every showing of kung fu panda. so we ended up going to crate & barrel to spend our left over gift card from christmas. we got 2 more sets of our dishes, and an 8x8" baking pan. we made another little list of other kitchen gadgets that we want to get before we leave.

finally, we went over the to the pruneyard in campbell to the camera 7 to see the kung fu panda movie. i thought it was cute, but i am easily amused. the only bad part of the movie was when multiple babies started screaming and crying in the middle of it. an then another toddler had to chime in with "i wanna go home" over and over again. i just don't get it. the showing we went to was at 4:40pm, not one of those early morning mommy and baby movies, where all the kids are expected to start whining and crying. that is just irritating. and to make matters worse, some of the parents refused to remove themselves and their cry babies from the theater. only after 10-15 minutes did the parents decide to get up and console their children outside. annoying. sorry.

on sunday, i went to watch the sex in the city movie with my aunt and sister. i enjoyed that flick too. i am one of those people that always want to know what happens to the characters after the show ends. and this movie did a good job at bringing the last 5 years together. i could totally see it again.

still have not received our passports with our lovely blue stickers in them. i am waiting for them. nz already took out the migrant levy fee, so we are expecting our documents back anytime soon. i just want all my stuff back, safe and sound. oh, and i want to use my passport so i can go to germany next month!

everyday, we are getting closer and closer to where we want to be. i am still stressing out about moving out of our apartment.
