some thoughts in my head

1. HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY to my friend from junior high, nell!!! apparently, she was in chicago partying it up with another friend from our childhood, eve. it was nice to have a little chat with her via facebook too!

2. my coworker, ellie, said something very sweet to me on wednesday night while i was working the late shift. she said that i made her want to be married. she said that we seem so happy and excited to have our little adventures. i thought that was a super nice comment. i always hope that we are the kind of couple that embraces love and life together.

3. mike and i have decided to australia before going to new zealand. we figured, why not? we certainly want to visit australia, and it just makes sense to stop over for a week or so and explore the land of oz before reaching our final destination.

4. i started my registration process for the nz pharmacy board exam. i need to start studying. i am no where near motivated. although i am dying to get coffee at the bookshop. i love that!

5. my packing has not progressed at all since last weekend. we were so good packing up last saturday. but since then, i have hit the wall. i am waiting till this saturday to start packing up my clothes and the office. can you sense my enthusiasm?!?!

6. i have a couple leads on jobs in wellington. the clinical team coordinator emailed me yesterday since i sent my cv over. i am excited about the possibility of working over there. i think we can really learn from each other. i hope they offer me a job and a decent salary! there are 2 positions that i am interested in, one more than the other. the one that i really see as a good fit is the formulary/due pharmacist position. the other is a safe use of medication pharmacist. both clinical, and both have a lot of potential! i am excited about the prospect.

7. summer is almost here, and i am pretty sure i will be a new auntie next week. mike's sister will probably be induced next thursday or friday. good thing i am off those days and the whole weekend, so i can hang out with annie, sam, and daniel, while dave and loretta are holed up at the hospital.

8. i am almost at my goal of 100 miles. i ran on wednesday, and my total was 94.49 miles. i am going to run this morning, so i am guessing the next time i run i will be over! i think that is a big accomplishment for a girl who doesn't really like to run!

9. addendum to #8: i just got back from my run. i ran 4.69 miles. i was hoping to make it to 100 miles, but i stopped shy at 99.17 miles. dammit! almost....this close!

10. almost time to go to germany. i started reading lonely planet. i am really looking forward to our trip. should be a blast. i have never been to europe before. so, another check off my long travel list.
